Make Underwriting Support Traceable Before Automating Steps

Use AI to prepare and organise underwriting work with explicit sources, review boundaries and exception ownership rather than hidden decision delegation.

Cybergizer implementation notes · Practical guide

Identify the preparation tasks

Map document intake, field extraction, reconciliation and review preparation for one workflow. Define which outputs support staff and which decisions require authorised judgement. Specify source records and required information before choosing a model. Keep policy interpretation and approval boundaries with the organisation’s responsible experts, with engineering implementing the controls they approve.

Show evidence with every draft

Present extracted values alongside references to their source. Flag missing, conflicting or uncertain information rather than filling gaps silently. Make corrections easy to record and feed them into evaluation examples. Test representative document variations and integration failures. The reviewer should understand what the system has prepared and what has not been established.

Measure the whole review process

Monitor accepted preparation, corrections, elapsed time and outstanding exceptions. Include reviewer effort and maintenance in the assessment. Keep an incident route and a controlled configuration history. Expand only within approved responsibilities. A system that prepares a useful file has demonstrated a supporting capability; that evidence alone does not justify giving it authority over underwriting decisions or customer commitments.

Apply this to one workflow

Bring the input, desired output and systems involved. We can discuss a bounded implementation with review, acceptance and operating responsibilities.
