Design Claims Support Around Reviewable Case Files

Claims workflows benefit from clearer evidence preparation and exception handling, with accountable staff retaining responsibility for decisions and communications.

Cybergizer implementation notes · Practical guide

Map the case journey

Follow intake, document collection, triage, review and communication for one type of claim. Identify where missing information or repeated reconciliation causes delay. Define which facts can be extracted and which assessments must remain with authorised staff. Keep the project focused on workflow implementation rather than treating a model as the decision maker for an entire case.

Prepare a traceable review package

Link extracted fields to the supporting documents and flag inconsistencies. Present unanswered questions alongside draft summaries so reviewers know what still needs attention. Validate required fields before routing work to the next team. Test duplicate submissions, unreadable files and conflicting details. The interface should make correction easy without hiding the original record.

Operate the exception queue

Assign ownership for cases the workflow cannot prepare reliably. Record revisions and preserve the history of accepted changes. Measure elapsed time and total handling effort alongside correction rates. Introduce limited use before wider rollout, and have the organisation’s responsible specialists approve decision boundaries and communication procedures. A successful preparation workflow does not establish that automated claim decisions are appropriate.

Apply this to one workflow

Bring the input, desired output and systems involved. We can discuss a bounded implementation with review, acceptance and operating responsibilities.
