Choose Automation by the Kind of Uncertainty in the Work

Use the structure of a task to decide where deterministic automation is enough and where AI assistance needs additional controls.

Cybergizer implementation notes · Practical guide

Identify stable and variable steps

Write down which parts of the process follow explicit rules and which depend on interpreting language or incomplete context. A predictable transfer between systems may need ordinary integration code. Reading inconsistent documents may justify an AI component. Keep the distinction visible so a flexible tool is not used to obscure a well defined business rule.

Combine components deliberately

Let deterministic steps enforce required fields, permissions and routing. Use AI where interpretation is useful, then validate its output before downstream actions. When an existing automation depends on screen interactions, examine its operational fragility and alternatives. Design the complete workflow around available interfaces rather than selecting an agent or RPA product before understanding the systems.

Compare operating effort

Evaluate how each option handles change, exceptions and recovery. Include maintenance, staff review and integration work in the comparison. Run representative cases through a limited implementation and inspect the resulting queue. Choose the simplest arrangement that produces accepted work reliably; a mixed workflow is often a reasonable design decision, not evidence that one automation category has failed.

Choose the next delivery decision

Bring one process, its owner and the decision you need to make. We can discuss what needs to be established before committing to implementation.
